OUT AND ABOUT

My albino armpits

with 7 comments

whitening deodorantI had to buy some deodorant yesterday.

But here in Asia, a fair complexion is considered more desirable than tanned or brown skin.

So most deodorants claim they also have whitening power.

Am I now going to end up with bleached armpits?

I’m not sure whether I really want that…

    • I’ve been using that deodorant for a few weeks now, but haven’t seen any significant change to my body… I guess the industry is just making false promises 😉

  5. Dude, the writing is in Thai, roughly translated as ” reviving your skin in two ways ” and it did state ” for white skin ” in Thai but ain’t said anything in Thai about skin whitening, kinda weird.

Yeah, to many Asians, being light skinned is good. You know, like not having darker complexion from working outside like poor people or other lower class folks. Skin care products promising lighter hues to the users sells like hot cakes back there.
